NO, I didn’t go on holiday and come back a whole other woman.
Karen Price is on a busman’s holiday to the bright lights of Broadway in New York so it’s been left to me to care for her Box Office baby while she’s away – hopefully it hasn’t gone to the dogs in her absence.
If you want a safe pair of hands in the world of acting then you need look no further than Philip Madoc. Next week he takes on Dylan Thomas in a new production of Under Milk Wood at London’s Tricycle Theatre.
With Madoc performing the role of First Voice – immortalised by Richard Burton – the production will add to the play’s long and proud association with Welsh actors.
Read Karen’s interview with Phil Madoc here, in which he also reveals one of his long career’s great regrets.
From the familiar old voice of the Valleys to its new sound.
We have already seen Duffy make her sensational breakthrough this year but if another Welsh act is to emerge into wider consciousness this summer it’s likely to be Kids In Glass Houses.
After turning down a series of record contracts because they could do things better themselves, the Valleys band have finally penned a four-album deal and release their debut album, Smart Casual, later this month; is fame and fortune just around the corner?
Read my interview with the band here.
You may also want to check out Rob Driscoll’s interview with Hollywood hunk Ashton Kutcher and Matt Thomas’ Box Office debut, with a piece on the award winning play Blackwatch, which arrives in Ebbw Vale.
Enjoy.
