CELTIC CRUSADERS made it three wins out of three in the Northern Rail Cup with a 34-14 victory over Sheffield Eagles.

Over a thousand fans braved the bitter cold to see the Crusaders gain a 16th straight win with the issue never in doubt after 20 points in as many first-half minutes.

“We were outstanding in that time,” said Crusaders coach John Dixon.

“We used the ball really well and it was pretty rewarding to see that.”

Ian Webster, Tony Duggan, Mark Lennon (two), Mark Dalle Cort, Damien Quinn and Paul Ballard all got in on the Crusaders’ try act.
