R League: Wales relishing PNG chance

France have made three changes to the side that lost to Great Britain in their last match for tomorrow’s international against Scotland in Perpignan.

Australian winger Justin Murphy, one of eight players from Super League club Catalans Dragons in coach John Monie’s 18-man squad, will make his debut after qualifying on residential grounds.

Murphy, 29, comes in for Constant Villegas while Monie makes two changes in the pack, bringing in Adel Fellous for his Catalans team-mate Jerome Guisset and Toulouse loose forward Laurent Carrasco for Aurelien Cologni.

In the absence of the injured Guisset, the side will be led Harlequins hooker Julien Rinaldi, while full-back Thomas Bosc, who made his debut in France’s 42-14 defeat by Britain at Leeds in June, makes his comeback from a broken arm.

Scotland, who are using the match as preparation for their World Cup qualifying decider against Wales in Glasgow on Sunday week, will give debuts to six players, including half-backs Lee Patterson and Richie Hawkyard.
