R League: Dragons off to Wembley

CATALANS Dragons coach Mick Potter hailed his side’s achievement after their stunning Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final win over Wigan yesterday.

The French outfit beat the odds to book a Wembley date against St Helens with a brilliant 37-24 victory at Warrington

Potter said: It’s great for the fans that turned out and great for our team.

“We knew we needed to get forward and had a tough job against Wigan. We had plenty of support around the ball-carrier and a good kicking game.

“They made a few errors and that gave us a shot and we got 18-up. It was good.”
