Ice Hockey: Devils slip to double defeat

CARDIFF Devils slipped to two Elite League ice hockey defeats – 5-3 at Nottingham Panthers on Saturday and 6-2 at home to Belfast Giants last night.

Tyson Teplitsky, Sylvain Deschatalets and Nicky Lewis scored in Nottingham, while Jason Stone with a shot from the blue line and Max Birbraer netted against Belfast.

At least the club’s cash problems have been eased by new sponsors PT Maintenance of Cardiff. And Brad Voth and goalie Phil Osaer are back for back-to-back matches with Coventry Blaze on Saturday and Sunday.
