GELLIGALED Bowls Club opened their Cynon Valley League campaign with a convincing win and taking 12 points against visitors Trelewis BC

A local derby was played against visitors Gelli Park BC.

Gelligaled drawed on 2 rinks and just losing on 1. However, Gelligaled's fourth rink won by 16 shots which was more than enough to see the Galed win by 11 shots.

Having lost one and won one match Gelligaled will now play their third and final match of the Carruthers Shield section at Gelligaled Park against Harlequins BC on Saturday, May 17 at 11am. Young and not so young bowlers and potential bowlers are reminded that training and coaching sessions are held at Gelligaled every Friday afternoon between 5pm and 7pm. Juniors (under 16) specifically between 5.00 and 6.00pm.
