Grange Albion Under-18s 4 Merthyr Tydfil Under-18s 1
MERTHYR were dumped out of the League Cup as Grange Albion continued their 100 per cent start to their campaign.
The Martyrs took the lead through the right foot of Thomas Harris after a bright start to the game.
The home side finished the half strongly, taking a 3-1 lead into the interval, and ran out comfortable winners in the second half.
There was better news in the FA Youth Cup where the Martyrs beat Chard away 3-1.
Goals came from Paul Sedgemore, Adam Lewis and Adam Cushen.
In the league Merthyr coasted to a 7-0 win against Star FC, with Adam Cushen netting five times.
His blistering pace was too much for the Star FC defenders and everything he did had a positive end result.
Cushen’s haul was added to by Jordan Brown and Paul Sedgemore.
The win leaves the Martyrs level on points with Grange Albion at the top of the table.
