Big Ben strikes in the Central Wales

TRURO’S Ben Enoch continued his excellent early season form by winning the Central Wales Boys by a single stroke from Llanwern’s James Zanotti.

Enoch collects 50 points, while Zanotti collects 30 points. Enoch scored 77 at Borth and Ynyslas and followed up with a 70 at Aberystwyth, while Zanotti was round in 75 and 73.

In joint third place on 151 strokes were Matthew Moseley (Carmarthen) and Sam Dix (Ham Manor), while Royal St David’s Llion Loyd-Kerry showed a return to form by finishing in fifth place.

At the Peter McEvoy Trophy, Cardiff’s Ross McLister was the only Welsh player to make the cut and finished in a tie for 29th collecting 2.66 points

The next event is the Trubshaw Cup at Tenby and Ashburnham this weekend.
