Golf: Dodd faces tough test

STEPHEN Dodd will have to negotiate one of Britain’s most famous links courses next year if he is to retain his Ryder Cup Wales 2010 Welsh Open PGA Championship.

The magnificent Royal St David’s links at Harlech have been chosen to stage the event next summer with a prize fund of more than £80,000.

The Welsh championship, which is certain to attract some of the UK’s top golfers, will be contested from August 5-7 next year.
