Boxing: Rees is a big hit in Welsh senior ranks

TEENAGE boxing sensation Lewis Rees added a senior title to his long list of junior achievements with a victory at the Welsh Championship in Afan Lido.

The 18-year-old member of Rhondda ABC clinched a 24-12 points win over classy Christian Nagle of Stable ABC in Cardiff in the 64-kilo light-welterweight final.

Rees, who is currently included in the Great Britain 2012 squad, is very grateful to the support of Rhondda club trainer Ivor Bartlett, Welsh national coach Tony Williams and Great Britain Development coach Jim Davison.
