ATHLETES from Les Croupiers did well at the British Masters’ Cross-country Championships in Banbury.
Former Cardiff AAC member Huw Evans (Tonbridge) finished third in the new Masters’ 35-49 age group with Richie Bullen in 40th place.
In the M50-69 race, Mick McGeoch finished 22nd, one ahead of Mick Tabor, with Sandy Johnston in 45th.
Ann James was the leading Les Croupiers member in the Masters Women’s race in 75th.
CARDIFF AAC’s James Thie was the winner of the Bute Park time trial, completing the 5km in 15:28, well clear of Chris Discombe (Les Croupiers, 15:52). Stuart Crees (Les Croupiers, 16:30) and Lewys Winfield Young (unattached, 16:34) were fourth and fifth.
