THE Wanderers have won the last seven of these meetings and form suggests they will take this one.
But Gareth Brown’s Maesteg team will be desperately wanting to play on a wet surface and take at least four points.
A muddy ground does not traditionally suit the Wanderers, but coach Richard Hodges has built a squad for all seasons. New signing Gareth Murphy, the Glamorgan County prop, is on the bench.
James Loxton retains the full-back spot, Mike Grimes has his first start of the season at No 8.
Maesteg move Neil Dixon to full-back and Gareth Holmes returns at centre after injury. Also returning is co-centre Roddy Boobyer, while the pack who played against Cardiff is retained.
Maesteg: N Dixon; L Woodard, G Holmes, R Boobyer, N Trowbridge; L Richards, L O’Connor; G Edwards, L Williams, C Hopkins, P Clapham (capt), P Jones, S Jones, K Hocking, M Sainsbury.
Glamorgan Wanderers: J Loxton; S Cullen, S Rosser, A James, G Morris; M Roper, H Trelawney; M Bolton (capt), R Emms, G Alexander, G Knight, N Kelly, R Thomas, M Grimes, B Rose.
