Swansea 27-17 Aberavon
SWANSEA flanker David Blyth played the game of his life and scored three splendid tries to sink Aberavon. almost without trace.
After gaining two from close range, Blyth reserved the best till last, when at 20-10 and four minutes from time, he settled the result with a spectacular effort.
Receiving the ball some 40 metres from the line he turned on the gas and held off several corner- flaggers to score with spectators on their feet cheering him.
Dan Biggar kicked immaculately, landing his third conversion from the touchline into the wind and he also placed a penalty in either half.
Aberavon, with next Saturday’s cup tie on their minds, scored a try by fly-half James Garland, who beat off several tackles to cross and convert for a 7-3 lead and he later placed a penalty.
However, Swansea roared to an eighth-successive win, despite a late try by replacement hooker Chris Wells, a former Swansea favourite.
