Richard is the 16pt hero of the hour

BEDLINOG, runaway champions of three south east, ended their season on a high note with a 31-0 rout of Heol-y-Cyw.

Thomas Hiscock grabbed a brace of tries and Ryan Jenkins also crossed but the hero of the day was Richard Heath who amassed 16 points – a try plus 11 points with the boot.

Second-placed Gilfach Goch have earned a play-off with three south west’s Aberavon Quins for a promotion decider.

The Quins earned this play-off spot in style as they recorded eleven tries in a 67-7 demolition of Seven Sisters.

Winger Michael Parfitt swooped for a try hat-trick and Neil Pugsley and Marcus David both grabbed a brace.

Fly-half Marc Sheppard was top scorer with a try and six conversions.

Tondu, who were neck-and-neck with the Quins, won 57-0 at Maesteg Quins. Full-back Jonathan Humphries and winger Rob Smithson both notched four tries.

Barry have been relegated from four south east but they have put in some giant-killing acts this season and yesterday they upset the odds by beating promoted Aberdare 26-19.

Hero of the hour was Chris Cumming, who ran in a try and kicked a drop goal, a conversion and two penalties for a total of 16 points.

In four south west, champions Glynneath ended their season with a 25-12 success over old rivals Resolven. Tom Venn, Greg Roberts and David Felton all crossed, with Simon Knoyle adding the extras.

Betws were crowned champions of five south west after thrashing Trebanos 48-12.
