BARGOED recovered from a narrow half-time deficit to win this cup tie.
They finished with only 13 men after Adam Kidley and Darren Sweet were sent off. Christian Roberts ran in the Borderers’ sole try and Emyr Williams was successful with a conversion and three penalties.
For Bargoed, wingers Lewis Protheroe and Lee Pearson ran in a try apiece and centre Darren Humphries also crossed.
Jamie Howells added to the try count and also put over two conversions.
In the 50th minute, lock Kidley was sent off and was followed by Sweet, who got his marching orders with 10 minutes remaining.
