King’s hat-trick can’t save Scarlets’ blushes

EDINBURGH halted their Magners League slide in a Murrayfield thriller, beating Llanelli Scarlets 27-17.

A hat-trick of tries from lethal centre Regan King seemed to have put the Scarlets on course for victory at Murrayfield.

But a string of kicks by substitute Phil Godman and a touchdown from Nick De Luca tilted the balance in favour of the success-starved Scots when it mattered most.
