Six Nations stars named by Young for Magners action in Edinburgh

CARDIFF Blues have included Grand Slam stars Tom Shanklin, Gethin Jenkins and Martyn Williams in their starting line-up to face Edinburgh tomorrow night.

The trio return for the Magners League clash at Murrayfield in a side that is unlikely to change significantly for the big Heineken Cup clash with Toulouse on Sunday week.

There is also a return for wing Tom James who has been out after having an appendix removed and fly-half Nicky Robinson returns to the bench after a five-month thigh injury absence.

Meanwhile Llanelli Scarlets prop Deacon Manu has been banned for two weeks by the Welsh Rugby Union after his challenge on Blues flanker Robin Sowden-Taylor in last Friday’s match at Stradey Park was deemed dangerous by a disciplinary panel.

The offence was considered to be at “the lower end of the scale” by the governing body, but it could yet keep Sowden-Taylor out for some time, with the Blues man waiting on the results of a scan to determine the damage.
