Blues v Harlequins game set to go ahead

CARDIFF BLUES' Heineken Cup clash against Harlequins looks likely to go ahead tonight despite torrential rain in south Wales.

Match referee Romain Poite passed the Arms Park pitch fit following a midday inspection and he will assess conditions again at 3pm.

The Blues say the Pool Three encounter will go ahead, barring any dramatic change in the weather.

Victory for Cardiff would keep them on course for a quarter-final place heading into Sunday week’s group finale against Bristol.
