She may be better known for her singing than her acting abilities, but Charlotte Church may soon find herself appearing in one of America's biggest TV series.
Creator of The OC, Josh Schwartz, has admitted to being a huge fan of the Cardiff-born singer, who turns 20 next month.
And, according to reports, he is determined to have Charlotte on the show.
The OC is one of America's biggest exports and is a drama revolving around the young adult community of the Orange County area. Among its stars are glamorous young actress Mischa Barton.
The news that its creator is a fan of Charlotte comes just days after it was revealed that fellow Welsh star, Catherine Zeta-Jones, wants her to sing the title track for her new film, Coming Out.
The Oscar-winning actress also hopes the Crazy Chick singer will make a cameo appearance in the movie.
'Her friendship with Catherine has got Charlotte noticed in Hollywood,' said a Hollywood insider.
Although she is first and foremost a singer, Charlotte has some acting experience.
She once appeared in an episode of the ITV1 drama Heartbeat and two years ago she starred in the film I'll Be There with Craig Ferguson and Imelda Staunton.
