GARETH JENKINS has been dismissed as Wales coach after the World Cup flop against Fiji.
The Welsh Rugby Union have acted swiftly and decisively to get rid of a coach whose team have barely won a match of note during his disappointing tenure in charge.
The WRU told Jenkins of their decision on Sunday morning and then informed the Wales players.
A worldwide hunt will begin immediately for Jenkins' successor, with the WRU determined to get a man who can bring pride back to Welsh rugby.
Jenkins stated after the Fiji flop that he wanted to continue in his job. But the WRU knew his position was untenable and moved to make the decision themselves.
WRU bosses Roger Lewis and David Pickering are set to outline their position at a Press conference on Sunday afternoon.
Jenkins and the Wales team arrive back from France today.
