YOUNG people from across South Wales gathered in Cardiff for a virtual global relay race.
The youngsters in Bute Park linked up with others from across the globe who are convinced a united world is possible.
The Run4Unity event in the city is one of hundreds of events across the world crossing different time zones in a 24-hour relay which started at dawn in Fiji with a virtual baton passed around the globe.
Paul Murphy, Secretary of State for Wales, went to Cardiff to cut the ribbon at the race on Saturday afternoon.
He said: “By taking part in the Run4Unity, young people in Wales are helping to spread the message of unity across the world.”
