Chapel celebrates 150 years

ONE-HUNDRED-AND-FIFTY years of worship is to be celebrated throughout May at a city chapel.

In 1858 the Hope Chapel was officially opened to serve the needs of the 4,000 or so people living in Canton.

After a merger between the Hope and Victoria Baptist chapels in 1972, the Calvary fellowship and chapel on Cowbridge Road East was formed, and its anniversary will be marked there.
