Cow saved from bog

A COW stuck in a three-foot-deep bog had to be rescued by firefighters.

Fire crews from Ebbw Vale and Tredegar were called to farmland in Cefn Gorlai, Tredegar, to rescue the distressed animal at 1.55pm yesterday.

South Wales Fire Service said the cow was retrieved unharmed.
