A MAN charged with causing the death of a South Wales mum in a car crash has had his case adjourned.
Beverley Parson, 44, from Cardiff, died in hospital following a smash on the A6 in Lancashire as she travelled to visit relatives in Blackpool last May.
Andrew Acton, 29, of Croston Road, Garstang, near Preston, is accused of causing her death by dangerous driving on Lancaster Road, Catterall, near Lancaster in May last year.
A trial date has been set for June 9.
The plea hearing at Preston Crown Court yesterday was adjourned to April 29. Acton was remanded on unconditional bail by the Recorder of Preston, Judge Anthony Russell QC.
Beverley, of Llanedeyrn Road, Penylan, had worked as a purchase ledger clerk at Geesink Norba Ltd, Llantrisant, in the year leading up to her death.
She left two daughters, Llanedeyrn High School pupil Chloe, 12, and Emma, 22, a brother Martyn, of Llanrumney, and sister Caron, of Llanedeyrn, Cardiff.
