The following cases were heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court

Gareth Carpenter, 28, of Morfa Street, Bridgend, was fined £60 with £45 costs and had three penalty points endorsed on his licence after pleading guilty to exceeding a 50mph speed limit.

Diana Comfort, 59, of Andrews Road, Gabalfa, Cardiff, was fined £120 with £45 costs and had six penalty points endorsed on her licence after being convicted of failing to give the identity of a driver when required by police.

Raymond Lack, 43, of Church Road, Ely, Cardiff, was fined £100 with £45 costs and banned from driving for 28 days after pleading guilty to exceeding a 70mph speed limit. He was caught driving at 94mph.

Cornelius Pearce, 72, of Fishguard Close, Llanishen, Cardiff, was fined £60 with £45 costs and had three penalty points endorsed on his licence after pleading guilty to exceeding a 30mph speed limit.

Paul Arrowsmith, 31, of The YMCA, The Walk, Cardiff, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £65 costs after admitting stealing two books valued at £12.

Catherine Olshansky, 46, of Elgar Crescent, Llanrumney, Cardiff, was fined £300, ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £60 costs after admitting driving while banned and driving without insurance.

Malcolm Glyn Morris, 46, of Dessmuir Road, Tremorfa, Cardiff, was jailed for two months after admitting stealing knives from What! on Newport Road, Cardiff.

Lee Joseph Anderson, 23, of Richmond Road, Roath, Cardiff, was jailed for 14 days after admitting allowing himself to be carried in a stolen vehicle.

Stephen Joseph Taylor, 21, of Drybrook Close, St Mellons, Cardiff, was banned from driving for six months, fined £75, ordered to pay costs of £35 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge after admitting driving without a licence and without insurance.

Anthony Charles Ward, 44, of Pentre Street, Grangetown, Cardiff, was fined £50, ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £35 costs and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points after pleading guilty to driving without a licence.

Lindsey Jayne Woosnam, 21, of Cowbridge Road, Brynsadler, Pontyclun, was fined £60, ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £35 costs and had three penalty points endorsed on her licence after admitting breaking a 50mph speed limit in roadworks on the M4.

Laura Jane Dutton, 29, of Gladstone Road, Barry, was fined £60, had her licence endorsed with three points and was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge after admitting breaking a 40mph speed limit.

Shalim Ahmed, of Canton Court, Riverside, Cardiff, was fined £30 and ordered to pay £45 costs and a £15 victim surcharge after admitting keeping an untaxed vehicle on a public road.
