Teen jailed for raping 15-year-old classmate

A SCHOOLBOY was jailed for two years yesterday for raping a 15-year-old classmate.

The 16-year-old invited the schoolgirl to his house in Bridgend after classes to listen to music.

But a court heard he then pulled his bed across the door to trap her inside his bedroom.

The frightened girl told him she didn’t want to have sex because of her age but he pushed her onto the bed and raped her.

He had denied even having sex with the girl but DNA samples proved they had intercourse.

The boy, of Bettws, Bridgend, denied the rape but was found guilty by a jury at Cardiff Crown Court.

Judge William Gaskell described the boy as “promiscuous” with a history of sexual activity with young girls.

He told the boy, “You believe you are entitled to sex whether or not there’s any consent from the girl. You don’t accept your victim was distressed at all.

“Psychological testing has shown you have a poor understanding and acceptance of the likely harm caused to female victims of serious sexual assault.

“You believe it’s OK to use violence against women.”
