A 33-YEAR-OLD man was wanted for questioning yesterday after a 25-year-old man was shot in the face in Swansea.
The victim was taken to the city’s Morriston Hospital after the incident in Mayhill, Swansea at around 9pm on Wednesday.
A 39-year-old man and a 33-year-old man have been arrested and are in custody at Swansea Central Police Station.
South Wales Police said yesterday they want to trace Paul Leonard, 33, in connection with the incident.
They are appealing for information from the public and have issued this picture of Mr Leonard.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Azzopardi, who is heading the investigation, said, “There is one person outstanding in connection with this matter who we are anxious to trace, and I would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts not to approach him but to contact the police immediately.
“I would like reassure everyone in Swansea that this type of incident is very rare and the use of firearms will not be tolerated in the city.”
The shooting happened in High View.
Armed police teams were quickly brought into the area and the unnamed victim was taken to hospital under police protection.
