Man absconds from open prison

A 28-YEAR-OLD man serving almost three years in jail for burglary has absconded from an open prison in Monmouthshire.

Officers from Gwent Police say members of the public should not approach Daniel James Martin, who escaped from Prescoed open prison on March 12.

Martin was convicted of burglary at Gloucester Crown Court on February 14, and was given a two-and-half-year sentence. He is described as six feet tall, with dark hair, and a medium build.
