‘Water board’ pair target pensioner

A PENSIONER has been the victim of a distraction burglary.

A man claiming to be from the water board talked his way into the 74-year-old’s home in Maes-y-Deri, in Aberaman.

He did not show any identification and claimed he needed to check the pensioner’s kitchen taps.

A short time later, a second man was seen leaving a bedroom and both suspects left the home together between 5.30pm and 6pm on Tuesday.

Both men were aged around 40.
