Disabled son’s story up for award

NIA WYN’S real-life story of how she coped with the birth of her disabled son has made the Wales Book of the Year long-list.

The announcement comes just weeks after it was revealed that Penguin had bought the rights to the book, Blue Sky July.

Wyn, a former Western Mail journalist, is among 10 English-language and 10 Welsh-language authors to have made the long-list, which was announced last night by national literary promoters Academi as part of World Book Day Celebrations.
