BUSINESSWOMEN were “arrested” as part of a fundraising event celebrating women’s achievements.
Thirteen women agreed to be held to ransom as part of the event in aid of Cardiff Women’s Aid. The volunteers were escorted by uniformed police to an unnamed location where they were held with just their mobile phones until they each raised at least £500 for the charity.
Once the jailbirds reached their targets, they were released to enjoy a gala dinner at Cardiff’s Copthorne Hotel, where the speakers included journalist Eve Pollard.
