'Question time’ will look at transport

VOTERS will get the chance to quiz prospective councillors on how they will make transport cleaner, healthier and more people-friendly.

A Sustainable Transport Question Time will take place in Cardiff’s Norwegian Church, on Monday, at 7pm.

Admission is free.

Election hopefuls will take part in the Question Time-style debate, which is being organised by a network of groups including Sustrans, Cycle Cardiff, Cardiff Friends of the Earth, the Cardiff Cycling Campaign, and Cardiff Transition Project.

Cardiff has higher car use than the UK average. Only 2.7 per cent of journeys are made by bicycle.

“We’re at a turning point for sustainable transport,” said event organiser Nick Canham.
