THE future of a village library looks assured as a £230,000 makeover has been completed.
Inside, Abertridwr library has a complete new look while outside there is improved disabled access.
The revamped facility was opened by Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM, Minister for Heritage, on World Book Day.
The library is the first in Caerphilly county to have a self-service kiosk, which enables customers to loan and return their own books.
David Hardacre, Cabinet member for education and leisure, said: “The new state-of-the-art facility will enable the library to play a more active role in supporting the local community to participate in learning and to benefit from a wealth of library-based resources.”
