PINT-SIZED pianist Jamie Cullum has his model girlfriend’s Dahl-icious cooking to thank for a recent growth spurt.
Since moving into 27-year-old Jamie’s north London flat two months ago, statuesque model Sophie Dahl has turned into something of a domestic goddess.
But although her live-in lover is only too content to indulge in her calorific creations, he’s said to be gutted after putting on nearly two stones!
Now the Swindon-born star is contemplating going on a diet, a move Sophie knows well – during her time on the catwalk, she once slimmed down from a size 14 to a size eight.
Sophie – the grand-daughter of Welsh children’s author Roald Dahl – is now cooking up a storm as she embarks on her latest literary venture – a cookbook, due to be published later this year.
A friend of the couple said: “While Jamie has been working on his new album, Sophie spends all her time creating dishes. Her favourite food is roast chicken with roast potatoes and loads of vegetables, followed by a huge helping of trifle.”
Sophie describes her forthcoming cookery book, as a “food memoir”.
She said: “I really want to get across the message that you don’t have to starve yourself to be reasonably skinny. And that the more one obsesses about it, the more of an issue it becomes.”
