Work set to start on Insole Court

INSOLE Court’s ground floor will reopen for public use in September.

The work at the building, in Llandaff, Cardiff, is estimated to cost £590,000 and is the first phase of refurbishment. The total cost of all the work will be £2.5m.

Adult education classes will be held there and rooms will be for hire. The cafe and library operated by the Friends of Insole Court will also be available. Work will start in May with building work being completed by August.

Campaigners have long been calling for work to start on the much-loved building.

Councillor Nigel Howells, Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, said: “It has been crucial that the necessary permissions have been obtained from the appropriate agencies.”
