Councillors in call for police to stay local

INDEPENDENT councillors in Cardiff are calling for local community police officers not to be taken out of their communities unless in an emergency.

Adrian Robson and Jayne Cowan, who represent Rhiwbina, want the council tonight to raise the issue with Chief Constable Barbara Wilding

The two councillors say they are concerned about local beat bobbies being drafted into policing the city centre and other areas.
