Hoodies attack steelworker for £35

A STEELWORKER was beaten and robbed by a gang of hoodies in a “violent and unprovoked” attack for £35.

As reported in later editions of yesterday’s Echo, the 35-year-old, from Adamsdown, Cardiff, was punched repeatedly in the face by the trio on the junction of Gold Street and Piercefield Place at the back of Cardiff Royal Infirmary, at around 1am yesterday.

He suffered a broken nose and lost three teeth.

The men are all between 25 and 30 and each wore a scarf around the bottom of their faces.

One, the ringleader, was black, around 5ft 10ins, stocky build, wearing a dark jacket, the second was mixed race, around 6ft tall, of medium build. The third was wearing a dark, hooded top. They walked off towards Constellation Street.
