Get your cats and dogs to us... quickly!

IT’S been raining cats and dogs at the Echo.

Readers have been sending pictures of their furry friends in by the score for our 2008 Pet Idol competition.

And you could join them.

If you think your pet could beat the competition to become this year’s Pet Idol, there is still time to get entries in.

All you have to do is send in a picture of your perfect pet through your mobile phone.

And remember, if you haven’t seen your entry featured on these pages, visit www.icwales.co.uk/petidol for the full line-up. The top 10 will be chosen by our judges, then you will be given a chance to vote for your favourite.

The winner will receive a framed portrait of their prized animal taken by an Echo photographer, plus £250 of Tesco vouchers provided by the new Tesco Extra store at Culverhouse Cross where you can pick up all your pet supplies.

The second and third prizes are £150 and £50 respectively, again in Tesco vouchers.

Text your pictures to 07872 680454, starting your message with keyword: IDOL, include your name, your pet’s name and age and a brief message about your pet. Closing date for pictures is tomorrow.

Texts cost £1 each plus your network rate. Please ask permission from the bill payer. Usual competition rules.
