THE UK’s biggest supermarket chain is to stop accepting cheques at its tills, it announced yesterday.
Tesco will bring in the ban from February 25 at its 2,000 UK stores.
Rival supermarkets Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda plus a host of other high street stores have already dropped cheques.
Marks & Spencer has announced it will stop accepting cheques in its stores from March 1.
