Bollards put on cemetery paths

BOLLARDS and “no access” signs have been erected in a cemetery after cars knocked over tombstones, Denbighshire County Council said.

Some visitors to Coed Bell Cemetery in Prestatyn drove their cars along footpaths between graves. Vehicles needed pushing after getting stuck, and three stone memorials were knocked over by reversing cars.

The same council has erected bollards at Rhyl Cemetery, where motorists caused problems by driving on grass verges.
