Currans workers to get together again

EX-WORKERS of a factory in the capital are to meet up for a reunion and are hoping a special guest will make a timely appearance.

Former employees of Currans factory, formerly based in Grangetown, Cardiff, are to meet up for the fourth year running.

Brian Thompson, 69, who is arranging the get-together said: “I’m really looking forward to meeting up with everyone again. People come as far as Ireland for it.

“Last year, our apprentice manager, Terry Edwards turned up and fingers crossed he’ll be here again this year. We’ve got a message for him too: ‘Don’t be late!’.”

The reunion will take place at The Gatekeeper on Westgate Street, Cardiff, at 1pm on Monday, February 11.
