Pensioner’s returns refund

A DISABLED woman has won her battle over post-and- packaging charges from a TV-shopping company which billed her to return goods.

Angela Jackson, a 71-year-old former science teacher of Cardiff, racked up a massive bill in charges after buying £6,000 of goods from television shopping companies.

She said: “I bought things for myself, my grand-daughters, presents for people, jewellery – that sort of thing.

“I’d see something on the television and think ‘That’s a good idea’.”

Although she later changed her mind when the goods were delivered, she still faced a bill of £1,300 for sending the unwanted items back.

With the help of BBC1Wales’ X-Ray reporters, Angela was offered a full refund by the main shopping channel, pricedroptv.

n X-Ray is broadcast tonight on BBC One Wales at 7.30pm.
