More fundraising for hospices – promise

A FUNDRAISING organisation is hoping to raise millions of pounds for charity this year.

The Round Table movement, which has branches in Cardiff, Barry, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd and Penarth, is planning to build on the £4m they collected last year, with events like beer festivals, charity swims and mountain climbs.

President Graham Drummond said: “We ensure that the money raised in each area is returned to the nearest Children’s Hospice. We have raised tens of thousands of pounds so far and with promises of many more to come.”
