Four-fifths of Welsh respondents would not want the Queen to step down for Prince Charles to take her place, despite celebrating her 81st birthday recently.
However, the nation is split when it comes to whether or not they deliver value for money, with 75% saying they would like them to use less of taxpayers’ money.
And 76% say they would like to see 21st century Royals working on more high profile charity projects or for them to take up ambassador roles in foreign affairs.
In terms of the modern Royal Family’s defining moments, 56% said Diana’s death was the most notable event, followed by the Queen’s Golden Jubilee (46%), Harry dressed as a Nazi (18%) and Fergie’s infamous toe-sucking incident (13%).
