A PENSIONER was pushed to the floor in a “cowardly” burglary.
The burglar asked the 81- year-old for cash and then pushed her to the floor,
He got away with a small amount of cash. The victim was left with minor injuries after the burglary at 11.15am yesterday in Herbert Street, Bridgend.
This is the second attack of this kind in the area in just four days. On Friday, a 73-year-old man suffered minor injuries after an intruder pushed him onto his bed before fleeing empty handed from Hafen y Bryn on the Cefn Glas estate.
The latest suspect is described as white, stocky and was wearing a blue long-sleeved top and a woollen knitted hat.
Detective Sergeant Paul Mason, of Bridgend CID, said: “This was a cowardly crime committed on a vulnerable elderly woman.”
