Hard-hitting play has a chilling message

A play co-written by Welsh actor Gareth David-Lloyd, one of the stars of Torchwood, has been driving home the dangers of binge drinking to hundreds of young people.

The hard-hitting production Wrecked opens with a drink-induced car crash and graphically demonstrates how drinking too much can destroy both health and lives.

Newport-born David-Lloyd, 26, said: 'I think it is important to open kids' eyes.'
