Get your ticket for the Quo!

TICKETS for Quo at the Castle go on sale in the borough first thing tomorrow (Friday, April 18).

It was announced by the Express in March that legendary rock band Status Quo will headline an all-day outdoor event at Cyfarthfa Castle on July 26.

Merthyr Tydfil Council is hosting the show and will be selling tickets at £30 each with no additional booking fee.

They will be available from four local outlets – the Civic Centre in Merthyr, Cyfarthfa Castle Museum, Aberfan and Merthyr Vale Community Centre and the Tourist Information Centre for cash purchases only.

In addition, from tomorrow you will also be able to buy tickets from www.stdavidshallcardiff.co.uk or 029 2087 8440, or www.seetickets.com.

So far, it has been confirmed that Status Quo will be joined by US rockgrass raconteurs Hayseed Dixie as support.

Hayseed Dixie are a tribute band with a difference, covering hard-rock classics in a country bluegrass style. The band originally formed as an AC/DC tribute act and play instruments such as the mandolin, fiddle and the banjo.

After the success of last year’s Donny Osmond homecoming gig, the council is expecting an attendance of up to 15,000 fans.

Tickets are also available from Ticketline UK on 029 2023 0130 or via www.ticketlineuk.com
