PRINCE WILLIAM will pay a visit to Dinas and Penygraig during an official visit to Wales on Thursday, May 8.
Following a performance by Valleys Kids, at the Prince William Cup game with South Africa last November, a request was made to the second in-line to the throne, to come and visit the community based project.
Denise Lord, who is in charge of development and fundraising, said: “We were thrilled to hear he was coming, we feel very privileged and it’s very exciting for the whole community.
“The kids are busy rehearsing to get everything up to scratch.”
Prince William will be treated to a tour of the Valleys Kids community flat at Pen Dinas, where he will meet members of staff and the children will perform a breakdance.
Members of the Rhydyfelin Valleys Kids will do a musical performance and then the Prince will be taken to the Soar Centre in Penygraig, where his father conducted the official opening in 1987.
Prince William, Patron, Mountain Rescue Council England and Wales, will also travel to the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue base, meet the team and assist with a practise rescue operation at the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue, High Street Dowlais, Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil.
