Get yourself heard

CYNON Valley MP Ann Clwyd is urging people to make their views known on the Post Office’s plans to close five local branches.

“Post offices provide an important local service for people who might otherwise find it difficult to access those postal, benefits and financial services,” said Ms Clwyd.

“I think we should be trying to preserve as large a network of Post Office branches as we can.

“We have five of our local branches proposed to close, which many people will be very concerned by.

“We now have a period of local public consultation and I encourage people to submit their views.

“If you would like to write to me, I will make sure your views are heard.”

The six-week public consultation period ends on December 10.

Comments should be sent in writing to Steve Geraty, Network Development Manager, c/o National Consultation Team, Freepost Consultation Team.

Alternatively, you can e-mail consultation@postoffice.co.uk or talk to the customer helpline on 08457 223344.
