BRIDGEND’S new leader will be asked to give an assurance on the future of Island Farm.
Coun Mel Nott will be urged to rule out the sensitive site as a home for a new rugby academy.
The WRU is known to be seeking a site in the borough.
Coun Bob Burns, who campaigned hard to protect Island Farm from development in the past, said: “Will he confirm Island Farm will not be in his sights for a rugby academy?”
